Buckaroo Radio was formed in 2014 to purchase the assets of KWNA-AM and KWNA-FM in Winnemucca Nevada. Since the purchase we have undertaken the following initiatives to better serve Winnemucca.
- We put an FM translator on the air to rebroadcast KWNA-AM as an FM station.
- We developed a hugely popular facebook site which has over 1,300 likes.
- We started Buckaroo News a website devoted to Winnemucca news and events. Buckaroo News averages 15,000 views a month.

I have 30 years experience investing in and lending to radio stations and outdoor advertising companies. My companies own radio stations in New Mexico and on the Big Island of Hawaii. My wife Kay and I have a son and daughter in college and a foster son in high school. I am an avid fly fisherman, coach a boys high school soccer team and referee 125 youth soccer games each year.

I have managed many different types of radio and television station since 1999. I move to Winnemucca in 2013 and really enjoy the community. I have been married to my wife Debbie for 36 years and we had 2 sons. I also officiate college and high school basketball in my spare time. In addition, I enjoy time on the golf course.
A member of the community since 1988, Steven Field moved to Winnemucca from a farming community on the Oregon/Idaho border. In 1994 Steven married Laurie McManamen. Having worked at various other professions, Steven joined Buckaroo Broadcasting in July of 2015. Steven has a love of the outdoors and has traveled the back roads of Humboldt County extensively.
